One of Englands Crown Jewels, Royal Birkdale has hosted more championships since World War 2 than any other course in the world, including 2 Ryder Cups and 10 Open Championships. The course exhibits a perfect combination of difficulty and fairness, making it a players favourite.

Royal Lytham is regarded as one of the friendliest and welcoming clubs of its calibre; however, contrary to the club’s aura lies a brutal Links course where if your 15th club isn’t used wisely you should be prepared for a long, hard battle! The riveted pot bunkers scattering the fairways and greensides have swallowed the balls and dreams of many a golfing great during the multitude of championships it has hosted

Royal Liverpool 
Hoylake is a superlative test of golf playing in fantastic condition all year round, and since its return to the Open rota in 2006 has produced the champions Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. Make sure to have a good look around the clubhouse when visiting Hoylake, it’s packed full of golfing memorabilia and history.

A true championship links, overhauled in the 1960s by renowned architect Fred Hawtree, Hillside is regarded as probably the finest links golf course not to have hosted the Open Championship. Hillside was recently chosen by the European Tour to hold the 2019 British Masters, hosted by local lad Tommy Fleetwood.

Formby is truly one of the world’s finest Championship links golf courses. Southport & Ainsdale

A James Braid masterpiece nestled amongst rolling links land. This 2 time Ryder cup venue began hosting professional events in 1917, when J. H Taylor, Ted Ray and James Braid played an exhibition match to raise funds for the war effort to help wounded soldiers. This was the beginning of a long association with the professional game.

  The West Lancashire Golf Club, founded in 1873, is among the ten oldest clubs in   England and boasts one of the most natural and testing links found anywhere in   the British Isles. A preferred championship venue of The R&A and England Golf,     the club will co host The Amateur Championship in 2020 with Royal Birkdale.

Designed by Tom Morris Snr, Wallasey is a top flight championship links course played through sand dunes with tight, fast running fairways. The the first ever competition using the popular scoring format "Stableford" was played at Wallasey.
